We tried calling the Consulate, but really had no luck. After MUCH deliberation, I think we will be leaving on October 5. Thank you to everyone who sent me messages with different opinions and viewpoints. I took them all very seriously. So sad that we have to wait another few weeks, but I am trying to focus on the fact that this time next month, I will be writing my blog from China.
In the meantime, I am going to do my best to focus on my precious ones at home. We had a wonderful meeting at Z’s new school tonight, and got to see his self portrait and read his autobiography. Definitely gave us some needed smiles.

Oh, my dear Em! I’m just getting caught up on your blog postings and I just hate it for you that you’re having to wait like this! It’s just so unfair!
You guys are still in my daily thoughts and prayers. On the bright side, I love what you posted from Z’s classroom! How sweet! I love that he already said he has two sisters.
And I love that his family is his favorite thing. Actually, I just love the whole thing, blue army guy and all.
Since you won’t be leaving for a little while longer, I hope to see you when I come in town when Harper is born! I REALLY want to make that happen! I love and miss you and your entire sweet family!
Wait, I cannot fathom it being so straihgfotwrard.
